Wrapping Up 2024 with Geometra 5.0.15 – and wishing you a Merry Christmas!

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re thrilled to announce the final release of Geometra for the year: version 5.0.15! It’s been an incredible journey, with a whirlwind of development milestones and user-focused improvements that have shaped Geometra into an even more powerful tool for our users.

A Year of Milestones

June marked a significant turning point with the official release of Geometra 5, and from that moment on, we hit the ground running. Over the past six months, we’ve released 15 updates—a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s been accomplished since the launch:

• 169 Enhancements and Tweaks

• 313 Bug Fixes

• 39 Miscellaneous Tasks

This is all thanks to the 600 tickets we’ve processed in that time. Among those, 149 tickets originated from user feedback, showcasing how invaluable your insights are to us. And while not all suggestions led to immediate changes—some features already existed, and we were glad to point them out—we’re continuously inspired by the active role our community plays in shaping Geometra’s future.

What’s New in Version 5.0.15

With this final update of the year, we’re introducing a JSON export feature for estimates. This enables you to export your project’s entire estimate—including all objects, their values, and rows—into a structured JSON format. This makes it easier than ever to integrate Geometra data into other tools, workflows, or systems.

Saying Goodbye to IFC Support

In this release, we’re also bidding farewell to IFC support. As announced earlier, our 3D engine supplier has discontinued support for the engine, which means we can no longer use it. While this is a necessary change, we’re actively working on a replacement solution. Development is progressing well, and we can’t wait to share a demo and more details with you soon.

As we close out 2024, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our users. Your feedback, engagement, and trust drive us to keep improving and innovating. Geometra has grown leaps and bounds this year, and we’re more excited than ever about what lies ahead in 2025.
